1. Chairman’s Welcome Remarks
The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Received from Cllr Chris Gait; reason for absence were noted & accepted.

4. To approve Minutes of meeting held on the 29th November 2022
The draft minutes having been circulated prior to the meeting were agreed and proposed to be a true and accurate record. They were passed as approved by resolution of the Council and signed by the Chairman.
5. Clerks Report
a. Parish/Town Council Elections - 4 May 2023
Circulated copy Election Timetable 4 May 2023-Statutory Dates. Discussed Notice of elections to be put on notice boards. Nomination Papers must hand delivered to SKDC between 20 March to 4th April.
Action: On receipt Clerk to email out Notice of election to be displayed in both villages.

b. SKDC – Adoption of Local Government Association’s model Councillor Code of Conduct
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to assist you, as a councillor, in modelling the behaviour that is expected of you, to provide a personal check and balance, and to set out the type of conduct that could lead to action being taken against you. It is also to protect you, the public, fellow councillors, local authority officers and the reputation of local government. It sets out general principles of conduct expected of all councillors and your specific obligations in relation to standards of conduct. To be reviewed and if agreed adopted at next meeting.
Action: Clerk to add to agenda to adopt for approval next meeting.

9. Clerks hourly rate – Action from May 2022 (deferred from Nov 2022 meeting)
A discussion was had amongst the councillors about appropriate pay level for the clerk. An agreement followed on 7.5% increase annually on current pay rate and will take effect from April 2023; this was approved by resolution of the Council. The clerk will diary forward to remind the council annually prior to the increase.
